I’m currently in my final year of studying Bachelor of Education at Monash University. I have experience working with children in coaching centres, as well as some of the school holiday activities that run in shopping malls and libraries. There’s something really special about making kids smile, and having a good time with them. Through my previous experience, I’ve found that I’m passionate about working with kids, whether it’s more academic based like English/math coaching, or in a more creative setting such as party entertaining.
I love the creative arts. In my free time, I’m always singing, dancing, painting, even stitching and fashion designing. I love the creative arts because I think they make life so much more colourful and lively.
I think my favourite character has to be Wonder Woman. She looks a little like me, and is the definition of an empowered woman. She’s tough, but also warm and loving at the same time!
Seeing the kids faces light up when you walk is definitely a very rewarding experience. I love it when kids are super excited to meet their character, and just have so many questions like “where do you live?” “Did you fly here?”, etc.
I remember being a trainee at a fairy-character party, it was my second or third, and I was still learning and getting used to everything, and there was a little toddler who was just mesmerised. I’m not sure if it was the fairy wings, or the purple wig, but the toddler couldn’t get enough, and kept coming up to me and smiling shyly and waving. It was a very heartwarming moment
I love how supportive everyone is. I’ve never felt even a little unprepared before a party, because there’s so much support online and in person. It’s a great environment to learn the ropes, and go at your own pace.
