Who is Pocahontas?
While kids today know Pocahontas from the Disney animated film of the same name, what makes Pocahontas extra special is that her story is real. A Native American, Pocahontas was a peacekeeper between her tribe and the pioneers who came to the area where she lived. After some hostilities, she was captured as a hostage. During the time she was held captive, she met, fell in love and married an English adventurer. Unlike the film’s ending, the real Pocahontas travelled to England with her husband and lived there for some time.

Our Pocahontas entertainer has a true-to-film Native American costume with a traditional fringed hem and plenty of decorative beadwork. She looks so authentic, she might just have travelled from her Native American village to be the Pocahontas entertainer at your child’s party. We know she hasn’t, though, because she’s one of our top kids party entertainers, and has all the necessary qualifications for working with children as well as full Australian documentation.
